Digital Art

For those of you who enjoy drawing, painting, and doodling, have you tried digital? I am taking an
on-line iPad art class and I am having a ball!  I really like the flexibility of practicing my designs, erasing and starting over with no paper waste. Many of the apps have an undo feature - which is priceless. :o)  Some also allow for layers, which is so convenient! You can sketch your rough draft on one layer and your final on another, then delete the first layer - no tedious erasing.

Jessica's iPad Studio workshop is like having a library of user manuals with tips and techniques. There's also a place to ask questions as well as share your art work and experiences.  Jessica is a wonderful, sharing artist.

The beauty for me is that I can take the workshop at my own pace.  Another beauty is I have a variety of mediums, endless pallets and paper - all in my purse to easily take with me anywhere- AND, there's no clean up! :o)

Support Small/Local Businesses

This past week I was invited by Jodi from Bill Jacobs Volkswagen in Naperville to submit a recommendation on a local restaurant.  I was thrilled to get the opportunity to share my experience  in support of a local business.  Jodi was interviewing several people to provide picks for the upcoming 'eat out day,' Valentines Day.  You can see my recommendation on this page at Bill's Blog.

In support of small/local businesses , I've added a section on this Blog. Please check them out.  Even if you are not in the Naperville area, some of the businesses are web based and mail their products to where ever you are. I'll list small businesses that I've had a good experience with, no matter where they are.
