On Saturday I took a really cool art class with pen and ink. The instructor, Peggy McGahan taught us four techniques. Peggy is a very talented artist and teaches a variety of water color art classes at the Hobby Lobby in Aurora. If you are interested in taking classes with her, you can send her email at: [email protected].
I chose to make my project using a background wash and then I drew the butterfly with a quill pen after it dried. Peggy provides the art supplies during class, but of course I wanted my own. :o) I bought my inks in a set at Hobby Lobby with a 40% coupon! Got the quill pen there too, with another coupon. :o)
Paper: Watercolor Paper 140lb hot press
Inks: India Inks light blue, dark blue, and black
Accessories: quill pen (the kind without a refill), Sharpie white paint pen
Take care and STAY POSITIVE!
