This card is made with a real photo of a lovely sunset - photo complements of Sandy. For our February Stampscapes swap she gave us some lovely sky photos. The romantic cows are from Sunday International. This image is part of a really cute set and is available on EZMount or bare rubber. When I get images with words attached, I separate them to make it easy to use only one or the other. Another option is to cover up the words or image with a sticky note when you ink it up and then remove the sticky note before you stamp. I can still mount them together and ink at the same time if I choose.
- Stamp image onto white card stock using Versafine ink, sprinkle with emboss powder and heat
set. Do not include any of the heart pieces of the image.
- Add color to the cows with Copic markers. Blend colors together in the same color family using two to three markers to create shading.
- Add color to the hay with Marvy markers. Blend the two shades of yellow and mustard together across the hay stack to create shading.
- Use a craft knife to cut around the solid part of the image. Do not worry about trying to get all the fragments of hay.
- Print digital image of photo on to white card stock. Allow to dry.
- Ink up the entire outer image with Memento ink pad. Stamp over photo.
- Adhere colored cow images over stamped area.
- Color in hearts with marker
- The hill in this card was hand drawn following the outline in the photo.
- Adhere all layers.
- For the inside of the card:
Paper: Stampin' Up! (SU!) whisper white, basic black, glossy (with yellow and gold re-inkers for polished stone look)
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Copic Markers (listed in photo), Copic 0.3 Multiliner pen, craft knife & mat, Marvy LePlume II markers 1, 5, 82, Stampin' Up! black detail emboss powder, heat tool
