The Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set is so lovely! I made this card for a friend at work. Originally, I did not intend to post it so I'm sorry I did not take notes or a photo of the supplies.
This is what I remember....
- I heat embossed the flower on vanilla card stock.
- Added color to the pedals and leaves with Tombow markers and waterbrush. Working in small areas add a few dabs of color and spread with waterbrush. This technique was inspired by Jerri.
- For the shadow around the flower, I spread clean water on first then drew on color with a very pale blue and then smoothed it out with waterbrush.
- I double layered the vanilla card stock, layered that on top of gold metallic and wrapped gold cord around it.
- To help coordinate the design paper with the colors I had chosen for my flower and metallic layer, I added lavender and gold dots.
- Stamped the sentiment on the side, adhere everything together and added a little butterfly - only adding glue to the center so I could pop us his wings. The butterfly was punched out of some scraps left over from another project. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it has glimmer mist on it and some other design, a stamp I think - it's a scrap so it's hard to tell. Save those left overs!
