This was a very simple, quick card, and I really dig the way it turned out! Having designer paper makes it very easy to put together a quick card. :o)
Now, most designers would probably tell you that they pick out their papers first and then match the markers, inks, etc... Not me (this is why I say I'm "in progress"). I usually pick out my image, pick out all the colors I like, then color, and THEN go look for paper to match. Sometimes I pick out my colors first and then my image - I'm all about colors. :o)
When I use a digital image, I insert into a power point or word.doc application and then size the image. I then print it out on my ink jet printer. Many times I will print several images on one full sheet of paper.
- Printed image on white card stock. Let dry.
- Colored image with Copic Markers.
- Cut out image and pink layer with die cuts.
- Assembled card.
- Stamped sentiment on front of card.
- Colored Marvy Markers directly on circle image and stamped on inside of card.
