My First Card with Sumi-e

Here's my first attempt at a card with Sumi-e painting. I got hooked on it when I got a demo at my ATC group earlier this month.

  1. Painted a tall bamboo tree and leaves on watercolor paper.
  2. Picked out the section I liked best and stamped Melanie's Inspiration Mosaic Image around it.
  3. Cut out the image.
  4. Stamped the sentiments in red and black.
  5. Adhered the layers and I'm done!
TLB_sumi-e Stamps: Gina K, Hero Arts
Paper: watercolor paper, Stampin' Up! basic black & real red
Inks:  Stampin' Up! real red pad, Versafine Onyx Black, Yasutomo Sumi Ink black
Accessories: Sumi-e brush
