I am participating in Gina K's "Make a card & make a difference" event. I think it is such a wonderful way to give, plus she offers you a chance to win something!
Based on the sneak peek cards & projects I had seen on her Design Team's blogs, I knew I was going to place an order for her October release. There are so many wonderful stamps, it was hard for me to choose! I had to narrow it down. :o) I placed my order on Saturday morning, and I received my order on Monday - that Gina K staff is fast! I had a ball starting with one stamp - the poinsettia in the A Year of Flowers set. I stamped it several times in different colors. I embossed it, colored it in with Copic Markers, and painted it with acrylics. I used a Metallic Accent Pen, Stickles, and Liquid Pearls for the centers. Be sure to let everything dry fully before handling! ;o) I had so much fun with that one stamp. Here are the cards I made:
I did finally move on to some other stamps. :o) I love the style of the Magic of Christmas set. I made a few with just two colors - white and gold. I embossed the image for each card, and used an old stand by back ground stamp from Stampin' UP!
All the cards were pretty straight forward. Gina asked that we did not make them to thick. I'll post the other cards I make over the next few days.
