This
card was made with stamps from a stamp set created by artist Asela Hopkins for Gina K.
Designs.
For a limited time, a portion of the sales of this stamp set will be donated to
the American Cancer Society in honor of Asela's friend Daisy
who is fighting a courageous battle with cancer. It's a beautiful set for a
worthy cause. Please be sure to check it out!!
1. I stamped the
daisy image two times on scrap card stock (CS).
2. On the first
image, I colored the pedals and center of image - blending two colors together
to create a shading effect. I colored one pedal at a time. With Copic markers
the blending technique works well when the markers are wet on the CS. I used
the white gel pen to give highlights and then cut out the flower.
3. On the second
image I colored the center only - again blending with two colors, and then cut it out. I added glitter with a glitter pen. We need a little bling bling
every now and then!
4. I trimmed a
piece of CS for a second layer to place over the folded card and sponged Rich
Cocoa all around the edges.
5. I inked up the
double flower from the set and stamped off two times on scrap paper and then on
the second layer, and repeated to cover the entire piece. I wanted a subtle background.
6. After adhering
it to the folded piece of CS I stamped the words and the daisy image, allowing the
stem to go over the edge of the layer piece and off the edge of the folder
card.
7. I adhered the
colored cut out flower and center over the stamped image and added the
little bumble bee
