It's funny how you can find ways to finish a card when you don't have all your supplies at your finger tips. I brought many, many stamped images to color and brought some cards to put the images on, but didn't think about complete layouts....dahhhhhh. :o) I tried to put this this little scene in a living room. :o)
- Colored images with pencils.
- Spread the color with a water brush and cut them out. For the chair, I let it dry and then colored more. I accidentally picked up the black pencil rather than the dark green and my le boo boo turned into texture. It looks like a really worn chair. :o) NOTE: When you add water to water color pencil, it makes the color richer and darker. If you want an area light, color it very light. Keep in mind you can pull color out by painting an area with clear water and dabbing with a clean paper towel.
- I positioned the scene and drew in the baseboard. I adhered everything down and then drew in the outlet and cord. I added some dots to the shade and added dashes and dots to give it a frame.
Two lessons learned with this card: READ the color before using the pencil, and use a ruler for those dashes and dots. :o)
