I taped off and gesso'd.
After it dried I taped it off just inside the gesso'd area for small white border, and brought out some stencils, paint and spray inks, and just went to town coloring! In some cases the dabbers weren't working the way I wanted, so I just went with however they came out - sometimes just as a round dabber print. :)
I used a word stencil and my dauber with gesso it in to add just a few words. I traced over them with a white paint pen.
I drew and colored the partial face with dimensional paints, acrylic paint, and a black Spectrum Noir marker . In some areas I used a Small paintbrush to help spread the color. I added another word and used the black Spectrum Noir marker to draw a boarder around all the words. I really dig how the paint and inks came through the white.
Take care and STAY POSITIVE!
