Sharing my experience on choosing images. I really like a variety of styles - scenic, whimsical, realisc, solid, outlined.... The one thing I always look for when buying images is versatility - I think about how many ways can I use the image and what type of techniques I can use with the design.
These two cards were extremely simple to make, and because all the design is in the stamp image, the outcome is really pretty, and different, with just a few supplies.
- Use water base markers to color directly on the image. Lightly spritz water onto image and stamp on water color paper. NOTE: "huff" on the image if it takes a long time to color the image.
- To create a water color effect, use a water brush or paint brush dipped in water (damp, not dripping) to spread color. Rinse brush in between colors.
- Assemble layers.
