I colored one image of this little boy with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS) and the other with Copic Markers to see which I wanted to use for my card scene. I need more practice with my pencils and Gamsol - I admit it! :o) This little boy is part of a cute set that Gina K designed for her October release, called Warm & Cozy Christmas. I will add this card to the pile I'm sending to Gina for her Make a Card Make a difference campaign.
- I colored the images and picked the Copic Marker one for the scene. I could visualize this little boy dragging that tree home across a field of snow.
- I drew the background trees, skyline, and drag tracks with a Copic Multiliner (I did it in pencil first - don't want to give the impression I'm that good to draw in pen - I still need the erase option :o). I used my trusty little home made cloud template for the sky. I pretty much stick to one type of sky. I need to broaden my horizons - so to speak (little giggle).
- Colored with Copic Markers and used the clear glitter pen to highlight.
- I also drew the little tree on the envelop and colored it with Copic Markers. TIP: When you color your envelop with Copics, remember to put a scrap insert inside the envelop so your coloring does not bleed through.
Note: I included the palette I use for Copic Markers in the picture
